About the Program

Sustainable Impact Solutions for Improved Livelihood programme focuses on creating sustainable opportunities and avenues through capacity building, frequent sensitization, and skill training from our facilitators and partners. The SISIL program is designed and co-created to tackle the everyday challenges of disadvantaged youth and equip them with sustainable guidance that they can use to fulfil their set goals and aspirations. The program also engages our beneficiaries in practices that are not detrimental to the environment. We believe that when the youth are capacitated, they are able to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country by providing for their families and creating business ventures.

The Sustainable Impact Solutions for Improved Livelihood is a 5 year program designed to revive the interest of Ghanaian youth through the program's intervention components - which explores the sustainable pathways and upskilling of rural youth, and the upgrading of farming and rural life, with focus on climate adaptation, green entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

Given that Agriculture is core to Ghana's development, the investment on it by both Government and development organizations still needs broadening in terms of investment and impact. The increasing incidence of livelihood diversification pushes many youth into gold mining communities and manual jobs in the cities and this - in the last 10 years has affected agriculture, particularly leaving the aging farmers who do not have the strength and capacity to maximize and apply the modern innovations needed for smart farming and build upon the skills of the youth to become entrepreneurs and/or business owners, challenge young people to become creative and innovative within society and also promote the adoption of sustainable solutions by the youth, that will contribute to economic growth and protect the environment.

The SISIL Program partnered relevant CSOs/NGOs, Traditional leaders, Municipal Assemblies towards the effective delivery of the program objectives and sustainability of the same.
